Serenity Farm activities are mainly structured around the care-taking of the resident animals, this involves feeding, grooming, mucking out, moving out to paddocks, collecting eggs, tending to gardens and fruits and vegetables.
For quieter times our Guinea Pigs require TLC and there is a large sensory garden where you can take your favourite animal for a walk or simply chill out and enjoy the views and sounds of nature.
There are always recreational activities away from the animals in our warm Serenity-pod, activities include making wild animal feeders and houses, craft activities, educational sessions about the countryside and nature, themed activities around the seasons and celebration events.
For those feeling more physical there is the upkeep of the fields (harrowing and rolling with a tractor), fencing, maintaining hedges and tending to the gardens and orchard.
Serenity Farm believes in life-long learning so all activities have embedded functional skills, communication skills develop well as a result of the interactions with the animals and peers.
We are happy to continue developing particular skills under the guidance of individuals/carers.
